I've tried a few different PDF chat apps because it's such an effective way to interact with Docs. This one is now my go-to because it has features that you can't find elsewhere so it really is a cut above the rest. Add to that I like developers that are willing to interact with their users and actively look to improve the overall experience. As an early adopter it's been a pleasure to see it take form into a must have app...

PDF Pals is a great way to interact with multiple PDFs simultaneously on your local device. It's super-helpful when you need the ability to summarize information from multiple documents about a single topic. The ability to customize the AI model settings and the system prompt is also very useful.
I'm thoroughly enjoying PDFPals based on my tests today. It's functioning flawlessly!

@daniel_nguyenx Damn, this makes perfect sense. I’m already used to download & open pdfs using a Mac app anyway. This can just replace my default pdf app with AI chat features 🤯
I’ve been using Daniels products for the longest time now. KTool impressed me as the best solution for sedning articles to Kindle, BoltAI is (in my oppinion) the best AI integration for Mac, and PDFPals is no different. With it’s slick UI, local indexing, multi-PDF support and amazing speed, it is truly the best way to chat with and analyze a PDF, all without a single subscription! Highly recommend.
