Import from Classic

You can bring your Classic documents, prompts and AI providers into v2. Classic is left unchanged, and chats stay in Classic.

Import during the welcome

1. In the Import from Classic step, check your documents and prompts.
2. Click Import.
3. In the Connect a Provider step, click Import Providers (it shows how many) to bring over providers marked From Classic (v1), with their API keys.

Import later

• Choose File ▸ Import from Classic… (shown until everything is imported), or click Add Documents in the Add your documents from Classic banner in Documents.
• For providers, choose Help ▸ Show Welcome and go to Connect a Provider.

After importing

• Imported documents show Not indexed. Right-click one and choose Index, or use Index Documents Not Indexed Yet (with the count) in the menu at the bottom of Documents. Starting a chat also indexes it.
• Files moved or deleted since Classic are named in a message (the first five, then a count). Find the file and add it again.
• Each part is imported once.
• Chats are not imported. To read them, switch back to Classic.
